| What are “Learning Styles”? The concept of Learning Style originated in the attempt among educators and researchers to look for the source of individual differences between children. One such approach was to integrate classroom instruction with Learning Style, which can be defined as: “the characteristic or usual strategies of acquiring knowledge, skills and understanding by an individual.” Now, for decades the BEST teachers have applied the theory of Learning Style in the classroom to get the BEST results. It is proven that the most effective approach to teaching is to tailor the presentation of material to meet the personal preferences of the student. Applying this theory can increase a person’s ability to learn. Using the Personal Best Learning System© provides an opportunity to make these best practices available to parents by combining technology with proven educational practices and cognitive psychological theory.
